CEE/CEU/CPD CREDITS

The World Congress of Audiology has been approved for continuing education credits (CEE/CEU/CPD) from AAA, ASHA, Audiology Australia, CAA and SAC. There will be volunteers at the CEU/Help desk at WCA2016 to help you if you have questions about CEUs.

If you wish to receive credit for continuing education from American or Australian professional organizations then you must complete all three steps listed below. To obtain continuing education credits from other organizations (e.g. Canadian organizations) only steps 2 and 3 are required.

Step 1: before the CONGRESS:

Complete the WCA application form at https://goo.gl/forms/egxeze5cGXNqMYnf2 so that WCA can provide your information to the foreign organization you wish to apply to for continuing education credits. Please complete the application form immediately because some organizations (e.g., ASHA) require notification of your intent to obtain credits in advance of the start of WCA.

step 2: at the cONGRESS | CREDIT TRACKING DOCUMENTS:

Volunteers from the WCA Continuing Education Subcommittee will be available at a help desk before, between and after WCA sessions on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at the Congress. Be sure to keep careful records of the sessions you attended. We have developed a PDF form to help you keep track of your credits.

(Revised September 18)

  • HARDCOPY FORM: One version of the PDF form is designed to be printed as a one-page, double-sided paper form that you fill in with a pen.
  • FILLABLE FORM: The other version of the form is a fillable PDF that you can use on your computer or phone. To use the fillable PDF form on your phone, you will need to open the PDF using the Adobe Acrobat Reader app (free), following these steps:
  1. Make sure you have Adobe Acrobat Reader (free for iPhone and Android phones).
  2. Open the PDF in Adobe.
  3. Check which sessions you've attended and keep track of your hours.

step 3: after the CONGRESS:

Apply for continuing education from the participating organization you indicated on your application. The WCA will send a record of your congress registration to the organization you selected on the application form, but it is your responsibility to apply for your own credits and to report the sessions you attended using the procedures required by the organization you are applying to for credits. Be sure to carefully store the record of your attendance for at least five years. A certificate of attendance at WCA will be provided by email within a few weeks after the end of the congress.
